Regents Park
A fellow student, Oliver Pope, and I attended the Frieze Art Fair in Regents Park together. It featured over 150 international contemporary art galleries and indeed, I have never been to such a large display of contemporary international art in quite the same way. The shear size and volume of so much art, not to mention the large crowds of collectors, curators, students and general public made the whole experience a visual and auditory shouting match. As such, it soon became overwhelming. Especially after a short video screening in which the pictures displayed were often too harsh, too loud or too quickly cut for anything less than agitation. Oliver and I found ourselves quickly reaching saturation point. I have no major evaluation other to say that it was an interesting and overwhelming experience.
